FLUX 2020

Flux 2020 asked seven artists to adapt their practice whilst living in lockdown by creating a new work that would encourage viewers to collectively engage, participate and share their own responses via the artist instruction.

Originally the project was designed to run alongside a pre-existing event within Leicester’s Cultural Quarter. Like so many plans made in 2020, changes had to be made to the direction of the project to make sure we could get FLUX to an audience.

Artists created a series of short films that were posted across social media platforms, setting a task for the those at home to follow and document in their own way and share with us, their friends and followers.  By doing so, the public are not just engaging with the work, they are reforming it and creating continual change: flux.
